熊谷あずさ写真展『15秒』 Azusa Kumagai Photography Show  “15 Seconds” 太陽光が、多様に変化する大気を通過して被写体に届く。刻々と移ろう光の振る舞いをとらえるための好機は、風のない日で長くて15秒。同じ光は続かず視界から去りゆくもの。環境と呼応しながら形態を選択してきた植物の機能美と、それを取り巻く自然の要素を平面上に写し表すために、写真機の機構をもって物質と光の均衡をとる。15秒の間、脳回路で己が疾走する Sunlight reaches the photographic subject through the atmosphere, which changes in various ways. The best moment to capture the ever-changing light is 15 seconds at most on a windless day. The same light does not last and continues to fade. Trying to achieve an ideal balance between material and light by using the mechanism of a photographic camera in order to capture, on a flat surface, the functional beauty of plants that have chosen their forms in response to their environment and the natural elements that surround them. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 熊谷あずさ Azusa Kumagai 植物写真作家 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 野山を歩き、自然光下で植物の機能美を撮る。自然科学の視点に基づく植物写真作品を、展覧会や執筆活動で発表している。植物の構造や機能に焦点をあてた主な個展に『植物の機能美鑑賞室』（2017年 東京）、『植物の旅立ちストラテジー』（2017年 山梨）。写真と文の連載『植物のデザイン』を全日本空輸ANA-SCOPEにて執筆。登山歴20年 I am drawn to the essential nature of things, and try to capture this in my photographs of plants. I borrow their forms for use in my artworks. Having survived aeons of natural selection, plant forms are pure and beautiful. I hope that I can convey to you a sense of the enduring spirit of plant life through presenting these forms as they exist in actuality.
